Our Story

WELCOME! Our wedding will be at the&nbsp;Excellence Riviera Cancun Resort, an all-inclusive resort, 20 minutes south of the Cancun International Airport. The resort is all-inclusive and adult-only! All meals, snacks, and drinks (including alcohol), are included and unlimited. There are 12 restaurants, multiple bars and lounges and 24-hour room service. The resort provides daily activities and nightly entertainment. There is a strict dress code when dining at certain restaurants.&nbsp;Please visit the Excellence website for more details. All wedding festivities will be on the property.

AIRPORT

**Please note: Flight costs fluctuate so please monitor for the best rates - As of Jan. 2025, flight costs are high and should lower within a few months** When booking your flights, you should plan to fly into Cancun International Airport (CUN). The resort is approximately 20 minutes south of the airport. We highly encourage guests to arrive by November 22, 2025 to join in on all the wedding events. The wedding ceremony is on November 23, 2025.

TRANSPORTATION

Private transportation to and from the airport is complimentary when you book a minimum of 3 nights with our promocode. The transportation company, Seasons Tours, is the resort’s in-house transportation company. Seasons will provide 1 complimentary transfer per room reservation. Once you’ve booked your flights, please reserve your included transfer. You must book your transfer with Seasons Tours at least 1 week before arrival. On your booking confirmation email, there is a direct link to book your transfer. If you cannot locate the email you can email Seasons Tours directly at transfers@seasonstours.com We’ll make sure to send all guests a reminder and more details the closer we get!

PASSPORT

You will need a valid passport to travel to Cancun, Mexico. The resort will also ask for your passport when you check in for your stay. Please note that your passport needs to be valid for at least six months after your travel dates. This means your passport cannot have an expiration date prior to May 28, 2026. If your passport does expire within six months post-travel, you must renew your passport. Seasons Tours is the in-house preferred vendor for excursions. You can email them ahead of time to set up any excursions. - Chichen Itza - Explore the ancient Mayan city and its ruins; located 2 hours west of the resort. You can make a it a full day trip and visit cenotes near the area. - Tulum - A lovely day adventure that is located 1.5 hours south of the resort. Here you can find ruins, cenotes, nightlife, and great restaurants!&nbsp; - Isla Mujeres - A small tropical island accessible via a nearby ferry. This is a perfect half-day or full-day visit to their beautiful waters, beaches, and restaurants. You can explore the island by bike, golf cart, or by foot! - Xcaret Park - A sprawling water and theme park. - Golf - You can arrange to play through the concierge desk or schedule to play before your arrival.&nbsp;Please invite the groom! The lobby will hold your luggage for you. WHEN SHOULD I BOOK MY ROOM? ASAP! There is no room block in place and rooms are expected to sell out as it gets closer to the wedding day. If you are not able to secure a room at the resort, you will not be able to attend the wedding as the resort requires all guests to stay on site.Booking now will also allow you to choose from a large range of room types. Swim up suites and club room suites are some of the room types that sell out first. During check-in, the resort will ask if you have any dietary restrictions as well and tie this information to your room number. This is to make sure you have a comfortable stay! IS THERE A DRESS CODE FOR THE WEDDING? The dress code for our wedding is beach cocktail. No shorts, hats or jeans, please. WHAT IS THE RESORT DRESS CODE? All restaurants at Excellence require a certain dress code. In short, men must wear shirts with sleeves or collars at every restaurant. Some restaurants require pants for men. Some restaurants do now allow casual sandals for either men nor women. Your outfit for the wedding, your outfit for the welcome event, swimwear, sunscreen, bug spray, medicine, etc. Although the resort is all-inclusive, we recommend to bring $1 &amp; $5 USD bills to tip the staff you believe is doing an outstanding job.
